Shadow Gods Slots

Shadow Gods Slots
Gods of any name should be powerful, for sure. Does that pan out in the Shadow Gods online slot game? There are two gods here, and once the game begins, you may well recognize them. Alternatively, you may guess the theme when they appear.

No need to wait that long to get some answers though. Check out our review of the slot here, so you’ll know what lies in store for you.

Developer information comes first

And in this case, the creator of Shadow Gods is RTG. You may have played some of their other superb games already.

They’ve given us demo access

And that’s good news as you can figure out how the various parts of the game work before you commit a real wager to spinning the reels.

A godly theme…

But which gods do we meet in this case? It turns out we are going to ancient Egypt to meet Horus and Anubis. You may have heard of them but if not, you’ll know them when you see them. The graphics in this slot do a superb job of rendering them in detail.

Design work in Shadow Gods

Have you ever loaded a slot game you just had to stare at for a bit before playing it? We’ve got one of those here. Sharp colors and detailing combine to make this an unforgettable game.

How to play the Shadow Gods online slot game

You can prepare to play on the familiar 5 x 3 grid in this game. You shouldn’t expect to see any progressive jackpots though.

One thing you will spot – or should we say two things – is wild symbols. Horus is wild on the second reel and Anubis is wild on the fourth reel. Each one can appear full height, taking up all three positions in one large symbol.

Furthermore, if a god fails to stop fully on its reel, it will be nudged into that position. Watch and see if this happens when you play. It’s a cool detail because it may award a prize that you wouldn’t have got without it.

Finally, the famous Pharaoh’s mask also shows up here. This is a scatter symbol. You might also see some gold coins, supplying the potential for something else to happen…

Paylines in action

There are 50 lines in the game, and you can select how many you would like to play on. We suggest covering all of them though, otherwise a prize might drop onto a line you didn’t bet on.

Bets you can choose from

The cheapest coin here is four cents. With 50 lines in play, it means you’re looking at two dollars per spin if you want to cover everything in the game. That is quite steep for many players, so if you’re keen on penny slots you’re going to be disappointed here. There are, of course, other bigger options too, so if you usually play more, you can do so here.

Paytable info for Shadow Gods

Some games have simple rules to work out just as you play a few demo spins. We suggest checking the paytable for this one though, just so you are clear on what is going to happen.

Bonus details… and those gold coins

We mentioned gold coins cropping up earlier in our review. The bonus round starts when six coins appear in one base game spin. This means all coins appearing are frozen, while everything else in view gets three respins at no cost.

Whenever more gold coins appear, they freeze where they landed too. You’ll then see the respin counter return to three. The process carries on until you run out of respins or until you have found 15 coins to fill every position on the reels. That would bring you the Grand Prize.

Mind you, even if you didn’t find any more coins, you’d still receive a prize for the triggering six. Beyond that, any more coins would bring you a bigger prize, so it’s a great round to unlock if you can.

Free spins in Shadow Gods

Yes, we know… it is usually either respins or free spins, right? Not here, though, as you can find three scattered masks of the Pharaoh to reveal a choice of two rounds to play. You’ll receive six free games in either case.

The first one would see Horus and Anubis as expanded wild reels held in place for all six spins. The second option brings you three gold coins on the final reel to start you off. So, this Treasure Spins version takes you halfway toward the gold coin bonus.

Whichever one you choose, there is a chance you could net more spins in the same manner, with three more scatters.

RTP details for the game

We cannot bring you these, unfortunately, as Realtime Gaming never releases this bit of info.

Our rating: How high does it go?

This was so nearly a 10! We have dropped it by half a point just because we can imagine how much better it could have been in 3D instead of the 2D we get. We know, we are nitpicking, aren’t we?

Scoop up to 50,000x your bet

Yep, that is the maximum you can get on one spin. That would be cool to get, but we know most players will still have a great time playing this game and collecting the occasional small prize along the way.

Is this ideal just for entertainment?

We think it is, especially as the game won’t appeal to the budget of everyone involved. Sometimes, it is nice just to play a demo game for a while, and if you’re looking for something like that, this one certainly supplies a great experience.

Can you meet the $2 minimum bet?

You must make sure your budget is settled and agreeable before you begin playing this game. If you do not do this, you could easily find it too expensive to play. We know that penny slot players are not going to suit this game, so make sure you know what you are committing yourself to.

Mobile activity
